In October, the new car registrations in the European Union reached 1.04 million vehicles, with electric car sales accounting for approximately 15% of the total. The sales of pure electric cars increased by 36.3% year-on-year, and hybrid car sales increased by nearly 39%.


Recently released data from the Association des Constructeurs Europeensd’ Automobiles (ACEA) shows that new car sales in the European Union increased by 14.6% year-on-year in October, achieving growth for the 15th consecutive month.

The sales of new energy vehicles have been hot in the first 10 months of this year, with pure electric car sales in the European Union increasing by 53.1% year-on-year. According to ACEA, from January to October this year, electric cars (including pure electric, plug-in hybrid, and full hybrid cars) accounted for over 47% of all new passenger car registrations in the European Union, exceeding the 42% of the same period last year.
