My Freight story - the logistics project of Dubai Metro(03)

Carefully investigate and make plans to squeeze into logistics suppliers

The transportation of materials for the Dubai Metro project faced significant challenges, especially with the extremely long and heavy glass curtain walls.

Initially, the air freight plan proposed by a large freight forwarder from Shenzhen required three years to complete, which clearly did not meet the project's needs.

Subsequently, the client invited our specialized air freight company to participate.

Faced with the need to airlift 2,000 to 3,000 tons of goods monthly, with single items weighing over a ton and reaching lengths of 5.8 to 5.9 meters, we did not rush to provide a quote. Instead, we conducted on-site inspections and designed a product-specific transportation plan.

Working together with a senior cargo manager from Hong Kong Airlines, we determined that only full cargo planes like the Boeing 777 and 747 could handle the task, and specialized PGA boards would be required.

We designed appropriately sized wooden crates, strictly controlled the load weight, and managed the number of glass panels to ensure safe transport.

Additionally, we planned the transportation route from the airport to the construction site and applied for special permits to ensure that vehicles could pass through.

After thorough preparation, we submitted a detailed bid. Although our price wasnt the lowest, we stood out due to our optimal solution.

Throughout the entire process, we demonstrated professional competence and meticulous planning, ultimately earning the clients trust and successfully securing the freight contract for the Dubai Metro project.
