Mission Impossible: A Special Logistics Journey of Air Cargo Across the War Zone
2. The supply chain Plan
NCL’s air freight team urgently called in colleagues from the sea freight and overseas departments for a late-night meeting to brainstorm and exchange ideas.
Drawing on NCL’s many years of experience in logistics to Ukraine during special periods, they quickly came up with an efficient and well-rounded transport route.
The route was divided into four steps:
1. The first step involved transporting the cargo by truck from the factory from Dongguan to Ezhou ( EHU) Airport in Hubei.
2.The second step involved flying the cargo from Ezhou Airport (EHU) by SF Airlines freighter directly to Frankfurt(FRA), Germany.
3.The third step involved transferring the cargo onto trucks upon arrival in Frankfurt and transporting it across the border to the transshipment warehouse at Warsaw Chopin Airport(WAW) in Poland.
4.The final step involved using T1 transit trucks to transport the cargo from Warsaw into Ukraine, delivering it to the client’s warehouse in Vinnytsia.
According to the Plan, everyone began preparing for the task at hand.
